HAPPY DANCING ~ HAPPY PEOPLE!

About Us

About World of Happiness

At World of Happiness, our goal is to make everybody’s world happier by sharing our passion for ballroom dancing!

We are a nonprofit organization because we believe the incredible world of dancing should be accessible to everyone, no matter what a person’s financial situation may be.

Why dancing? Because the physical and social aspects of dancing have numerous proven benefits, especially in the “sitting-too-much" digital age of today! Ballroom dancing has been shown to improve confidence, sociability, posture, dexterity, balance, and mental focus.

Why us? Because we have many talented, world-class instructors, years of knowledge and experience, and exciting ideas about programs we can bring to your community! We offer programs for children of all ages, for seniors at senior citizen centers and nursing homes, for individuals at rehabilitation centers, and for anyone seeking better health and well-being.

World of Happiness aims to bring all the positive aspects of ballroom dancing to people in your community by getting people to move, socialize, and become active in body and mind! As our motto says . . .

Happy Dancing ~ Happy People!

Special luncheon held at Overlook Hospital on 06/08/2018

World of Happiness together with Ballroom Dance of NJ attended a special luncheon held at Overlook Hospital.

It was organized to thank the many volunteers and organizations who work to bring healthy programs to the community which anyone with specific health needs can utilize.

Raul Cadavid, Community Health Manager in Atlantic Health Care, spoke enthusiastically about what is being done in many communities.

Together with Vince Ursino (Advisory Board Member and Chairman of Overlook Foundation), they were impressed with the potential that Ballroom Dance of NJ and World of Happiness could bring to improve the health and wellness of so many people of all ages.

A special thank you to Alexandra Green, Healthy Communities Coordinator at Atlantic Health System.

World of Happiness at Senior Wellness & Stroke Awareness Day at Union, NJ

Ballroom Dance of NJ and World of Happiness, a new and inspiring nonprofit organization was delighted to be a part of “Senior Wellness and Stroke Awareness Day” at the Union Township Senior Center in June. Partnering with Overlook Hospital and Ballroom Dance of New Jersey, our goal was to get seniors up and moving to rhythmic music in order to maintain and increase their vitality and quality of life.

Seniors of all ages came hesitantly onto the floor at first, but after a few minutes of Ballroom and Latin dance instruction they were groovin’ and movin' with smiles on their faces. They tried it all: salsa, tango, meringue, swing, rumba, and more. These motivated seniors realized they could get on their feet, move to the beat and have a good time dancing while improving their health. That was our goal and what fun we all had!

We were delighted to have Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. present at this well attended event and observe World of Happiness doing its part via ballroom dancing to increase the health and happiness of others. Also present were Raul Cadavid  (Manager of Community Health Care) and Vince Ursino (Advisory Board Member/Chairman of Overlook Foundation) who lent their support  to this important event. As always, our thanks to Alexandra Green, Community Health Coordinator at Atlantic Health System.
