SOCIAL INTERACTION

World of Happiness will "sweep you off your feet," literally, onto a dance floor. Research has proven DANCE, in particular, can improve your overall health: physically, mentally, and socially. Our goal is to use quality teaching to bring these health benefits to as many people as possible.


How it works

We provide you with instructors to teach either at your facility or at our studio. The cost of each lesson will be at a minimum charge or at no cost if we receive sufficient funding to support the program. If we teach at your facility, please note that we will need floor space for at least 20 people on the dance floor, approximately 25 x 25 feet or more. A wood floor is preferable. Each class runs for 45 minutes. Date and time are totally up to you!

About OUR Program

Learning new skills is not age-specific! A lot of senior citizens can feel bored in retirement or lonely.

Ballroom dancing has been shown to expand cognitive function, skyrocket endorphins (the happy hormone), and improve human connections in older people.

It’s important for aging muscles to stay moving, which ballroom dancing helps with at a low-impact level.

With practice, muscle and body conditions can improve along with mood, ease of motion in everyday tasks, and self-confidence.

About OUR Program

Families in search of activities to do together find ballroom dancing to be fun and stress-free.

Our program emphasizes movement at all ages and is much better health-wise than sitting at a movie, spending hours in a car to wait in long lines at a fairground, or trying to get everyone to stand still for family photos.

Bring everyone! Dance partners can be matched up according to age and ability so that no one is left out. Familial relationships and bonds are strengthened through communication and a shared, stress-reducing activity.

The digital age makes it hard to make friends post-school or university, making meet-up groups popular.

Ballroom dancing is a fun, fitness-focused way to get people talking and moving with one another. Most people start from a baseline of inexperience, making it more comfortable to learn together.

Partner switching ensures that all in attendance meet and speak with each other.


 

For Single Parents and Their Children

About OUR Program

Single parenting is tough. Children and teens of single parents may deal with unresolved feelings or a sense of loss (no matter how good a job the involved parent is doing)!

This program allows ballroom dance to bring joy into the lives of a mom or dad and their child/children.

Dancing with others in similar situations remind them that they are part of something greater, increasing the bond among family members even under stress.

The positive interactions developed through dance will last a lifetime!
