FAMILY FUN DANCE EXERCISE

DATE & TIME: every Sunday at 5:30pm.

  • Dance class for whole family! Learn various Ballroom and Latin dance steps incorporating movements in working out your mental and physical wellbeing.

  • This low risk-low bearing dance movements have various levels of intensity appealing to a range of bodies and abilities, especially beginners.

  • No matter where you start, dancing can be a serious full-body workout! Happy Dancing - Healthy Family!

BALLROOM WORKOUT FOR THE MIND AND BODY

DATE & TIME: every Tuesday at 7:30pm.

  • Introducing a ballroom workout for the mind and body! It’s the perfect way to exercise and learn ballroom  dancing!

  • This class combines ballroom and latin dance movements with energizing music for a unique exercise.

  • Release stress and improve your overall health at the same time. Keeping your brain stimulated with dance can help prevent diseases such as Alzheimers & Dementia. 

  • You will get to learn the basic style of dances such as Cha-Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Tango, Waltz, Samba, Foxtrot, Bachata and more!

  • Everyone can go at their own pace and no partner needed. Perfect for all skill level! All ages are welcome. Happy Dancing - Healthy People!

BALLET TONING FOR BETTER POSTURE

DATE & TIME: every Friday at 6:30pm.

  • Ballet-based exercises to improve posture, balance, and strength. Classical music lends a soothing atmosphere in which to gently work joints and muscles.

  • Class begins with a series of gentle stretches and classical port de bras (arm movements) to work the arms and upper body. Proper posture is emphasized to help with strength and balance.

  • The class proceeds through a series of exercises to warm up the feet and ankles and continues to the hip joints to concentrate on each part of the body.

  • Some exercises concentrate on warming up and loosening the joints while others concentrate on developing core strength and balance. There is some limited jumping, but most exercises are low impact.

  • Exercises are conducted to classical music to provide a serene focused atmosphere.

  • The class gradually increases in complexity to improve coordination and challenge both mind and body.

SENIORS DANCING FOR HEALTHY BRAIN

DATE & TIME: every Friday at 12:00pm.

  • Safe fitness moves plus easy dances to increase aerobic fitness, flexibility, balance, memory, and confidence…and to have FUN.

  • We begin with a warm-up to prepare the body for further movement and to introduce easy dance moves.

  • This combination Fitness/Dance class used a variety of music from oldies to Broadway, standards, Latin, classical, ballroom and pop.  

  • Class ends with a relaxing cool-down.

  • All levels are encouraged to participate.

LINE DANCING FOR SOCIAL INTERACTION

DATE & TIME: every Tuesday at 6:30pm.

  • A choreographed dance using a repeated sequence of steps usually danced in lines.

  • Dances range from popular dances such as “The Electric Slide” to country-western dances, like the “Tush-Push” to Ballroom type dances such as “Waltz Across Texas” or “Tango Time”.  No partner needed.

  • Class begins with thorough teaching of a dance, repeating it until students feel comfortable.  

  • Benefits are improved agility, better endurance, improved memory, a social atmosphere, a good way to relieve stress, meet people.
